An inflatable rubber dam is a flexible, remotely operated gate used for water level control in rivers and channels. It consists of a multi-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber membrane secured to a concrete foundation using anchor bolts and clamping plates. By inflating the membrane with air or water, the structure rises to retain water for hydropower, irrigation, or municipal supply. When deflated, it lays flat against the weir sill, allowing for unobstructed flow during floods.
